The Cambridge English Scale

From January 2015, Cambridge English will start using a new way of reporting results for our exams that will provide you with more detailed information about exam performance – the Cambridge English Scale.



The Cambridge English Scale is a range of scores used for reporting the results of Cambridge English exams. It is built on our existing results reporting and years of research, and is designed to complement the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The Cambridge English Scale allows for more straightforward results reporting across our exams and better meets the needs of our exam users, including candidates, teachers, universities and immigration departments. 
Exam results will be reported on the Cambridge English Scale for sessions held after the following dates:
From January 2015 – Cambridge English: First, First for Schools, Advanced and Proficiency
From August 2015 – Cambridge English: Key, Key for Schools, Preliminary and Preliminary for Schools
From September 2015 – Cambridge English: Business Certificates


Benefits




  • More detailed results – candidates receive a score for each skill (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) plus Use of English. They also get an overall score for the exam on the Cambridge English Scale.
  • Straightforward and consistent – results across our exams will report on the same scale. Scores on the Cambridge English Scale will replace the existing standardised scores and candidate profile.
  • Easy to compare performance – the alignment of our exams to the CEFR, to IELTS and to each other is clear. Results on the scale also give a greater insight into candidate progression from one exam to the next.

    Nuestro horario de oficina, para atención presencial, es de lunes a jueves 9:30 a 12:30 y 17:00 a 20:00h.

    Nuestra historia

    Con el inicio del curso 2008-2009 abrió sus puertas High School English, un centro educativo dedicado a la enseñanza de la lengua inglesa dirigido por personal ampliamente experimentado en esta tarea.

    Nuestras nuevas instalaciones, en constante mejora, han sido acondicionadas para poder ofrecer un servicio de calidad y, a la vez, la comodidad necesaria tanto para los alumnos como para aquellos familiares que acuden a acompañarles. Nuestro centro cuenta con la correspondiente Licencia municipal de Apertura y cumple con la normativa vigente en materia de seguridad  y accesibilidad, contando con salidas de emergencia convenientemente señalizadas.

    Les damos la bienvenida y nos ponemos a su disposición para recoger todas aquellas sugerencias que nos puedan ayudar a mejorar nuestros servicios y resolver todas las dudas que les puedan surgir en cualquier momento.

    SESIONES DE PRÁCTICAS

    EXÁMENES CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH

    Como cada curso, durante el primer trimestre del año iniciamos las sesiones de preparación para exámenes internacionales. Estas sesiones son gratuitas para los alumnos matriculados en High School English.
    Una vez se hayan realizado las tres primeras sesiones, se realiza una evaluación de los resultados para determinar si el/la alumno/a está preparado/a para realizar el examen en cuestión.
